The Director

A founder member of the Institute of Plumbing's Domestic Sprinkler Systems Group and founder member and Director of the Residential Sprinkler Association, his experience in this field dates back over a decade.

Twenty five years experience in the domestic plumbing and heating sector provided the perfect grounding to pioneer this life saving concept. Having filed a patent on his design for a "Small bore Domestic Fire Fighting Sprinkler System" in 1993, subsequently granted in 1997. The I.O.P. D.S.S.G. was founded, to promote the wider use of domestic fire sprinkler systems for Life Safety, with the introduction of Sir George Pigot, Bt. this group evolved into the Residential Sprinkler Association.

The efforts of the above organizations have established the production of  DD 251:2000 codes of practice for the design, installation, and maintenance of residential and domestic fire sprinkler systems. Released by B.S.I. on 15th April 2000
